New Millennium
Our First Millennium Together
Tom and Charlotte spent the dawn of the new millennium in Nottingham. We both feel this marked a new phase in our relationship - we are just not sure how.
Tom's version: On New Year's Eve, both were invited to accompany mutual friends and be VIP's with free entrance tickets and free Champagne at their old student union, partying the night away amongst thousands of young students. Charlotte refused because "I don't have anything to wear." This meant that the highlight of the new millennium was a dull walk down by the Trent Embankment and around the Victoria Memorial Gardens.
Charlotte's version: The 1st January 2000 was such a beautiful day that we decided to take a walk down by the Trent Embankment and around the Victoria Memorial Gardens - which we enjoyed very much!
